Onto the Llangollen

So after a couple of days moored because of the wind and rain we made a move this morning toward's the Llangollen, it's been quite a nice day with the sun shining again, then things started to go tit's up as we approached Hurleston Junction there was a boat coming out of the lock and one waiting to go up which is fine we wasn't in a rush, boat came out of lock and turned right, i was sat midstream waiting for the moored boat to go into the lock but for some reason this took him 10 minutes as he was busy chatting and messing about with his ropes, we finally get through the flight and needed to use the service's at the top but there was a boat there and wasn't using the services with only 2 bollard's free behind him  we stopped and used to elsan point but had to pull in front of him to use the water because he was moored on it, good job there;s 2 water point's here, so sat there waiting for the tank to fill his wife come's back from a walk to the shop that she didn't find untied and went off, bloody hire boats, we set off again and as we get to swanley marina 2 yellow lights come on on the control panel so we moored up to see what the problem was, it turn's out that both alternator belts had sheared GREAT!!!! we had a spare one so no problem right? wrong!! it was too tight so nick couldn't get it on so he decided to disconnect it and revert to it's original state, so engine now running we went off to meet sheila and jim for the nights mooring, jim had a couple of belts spare which he gave us to try but it's a bit late to do it tonight so he will try them tomorrow, what a day!!!!!
