Leaving Beeston

Today we set off from beeston, pulled up at the sanitry station to water up and use the elsan point to find a CC'r sat on the bollard's, looks like he's been there awhile because he had a floating garden behind him,we couldn't get on the bollards so we asked him how long he was going to be there and he couldn't make his mind up so we waited 30 minute's, he went off for a walk made a cup of tea etc so we decided to put water on at cranfleet lock instead, we get up to the lock the gates open and out come 3 boat's, well 2 really as one had broken down so we had to wait 20 minutes whilst it manoeuvred out of the lock mouth, so in/out of the lock watered up and on our way again, it was a icy wind that blew down the trent but the sun was out so that made it feel better, so off up the soar to meet tillergirl and smiffy, we arrived at kegworth around 5.30 i was so ready for something to eat after all that fresh air.
